The traveling exhibition from Tulsa’s Bob Dylan Center titled, How Many Roads: Bob Dylan and His Changing Times, 1961-1964, will be displayed at New York University’s Gallatin Galleries from August 15 to October 15. The exhibit delves into Dylan’s transformative early years in New York, chronicling his evolution from a little-known folksinger to the iconic figure we know today. The collection was first presented in Tulsa last year, and has now been adapted for display in New York. The exhibit focuses on Dylan’s artistic response to key events of the era through archival materials, original documentary films showcasing the Greenwich Village folk scene, alongside interviews with influential figures like Suze Rotolo and Allen Ginsberg. “Greenwich Village is where Bob Dylan became Bob Dylan,” says Steve Higgins, managing director of American Song Archives, in a statement. “There could not be a more perfect venue for the first Bob Dylan Center installation outside of Tulsa.” (Variety)
